This notice explains what information is collected when you visit crazyway.tv or get in touch with us, and how it is used. We have kept the website deliberately simple so that it collects as little about you as possible.

Who we are

The Crazy Way website is run by Christian Vision for Men (CVM), a registered charity in England and Wales (no. 1071663) and in Scotland (no. SC043446), and a company registered in England and Wales (no. 3623498). CVM is responsible for any personal information described in this notice.

You can contact us by email, by phone on 01246 452483, or by post at CVM, Staveley Methodist Church, Chesterfield Road, Staveley, Chesterfield, S43 3XD.

Visiting the website

You can use this website without telling us who you are. It has no forms or user accounts, and it does not use cookies, tracking scripts or advertising trackers. We do not try to identify you or follow you around the web.

Like every website, the server that hosts crazyway.tv keeps short technical logs of requests: your IP address, the page asked for, the time, and the type of browser you used. Our hosting provider keeps these for a short time and uses them to keep the website secure and working, and to produce anonymous visitor statistics, such as how many people visit and which pages are popular. We do not use them to identify you.

Services from other organisations

Videos. Our videos are hosted on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), but YouTube may still collect information about how you watch it, as described in Google's privacy policy.

Map. The map on our contact page is a picture stored on our own website, so viewing it shares nothing with anyone else. If you choose "Open in Google Maps", you will go to Google's website, where Google's privacy policy applies.

Links. We link to other organisations' websites. We are not responsible for how they handle your information, so please read their privacy notices.

When you email us

If you email us, including through the "Contact us" and "Email a prayer request" buttons, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to write. We use this only to read and reply to your message, and to follow up if you ask us to, for example to put you in touch with a local group. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

Prayer requests, and messages about faith, may tell us about your religious beliefs or other sensitive matters. We only use this information because you have chosen to send it to us, and we treat it in confidence. Prayer requests are read by the CVM team and may be shared at our prayer meetings so that we can pray for you. If you would prefer us not to use your name, just say so in your message.

We keep your emails only for as long as is necessary to deal with your message, and then delete them securely. We never sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. To do this, contact CVM's Data Protection Officer by email, on 01246 452483, or by post at the address above. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date below.
